Can anyone point me in the right direction for installing the check_mk agent on Mac OS X? It looks like there is probably support, but I don’t see anything specific in documentation to compile only the agent for Mac OS X.
Thanks!

It's a bash script, so you don't need to compile it- except maybe
waitmax if it isn't installed already.
Then you just need to configure xinetd and put your plugins somewhere.

Beside what Patrick wrote you can also access the agent script with ssh as described here → http://mathias-kettner.de/checkmk_datasource_programs.html

Thanks. I was looking for a Makefile/setup.sh to only do the agent install/configure.
Mac OS X of recent doesn’t have xinetd. Looking at launchd now and will come back to the datasource programs / ssh method if necessary.
Thanks!
