[Check_mk (english)] Netscaler snmp discovery

Hi,

I’m trying to add a Citrix Netscaler to the monitored hosts.

Snmpwalk command from the monitoring host returns result:

$ snmpwalk -v 2c -c -Ofn 10.5.0.130

.1.3.6.1.2.1.1.1.0 = STRING: NetScaler NS10.5: Build 53.9.nc, Date: Oct 30 2014, 20:22:52

.1.3.6.1.2.1.1.2.0 = OID: .1.3.6.1.4.1.5951.1

.1.3.6.1.2.1.1.3.0 = Timeticks: (316803354) 36 days, 16:00:33.54

But using WATO or cmk command-line I keep getting ‘No Response error’:

$ cmk --snmpwalk -v Netscaler

Netscaler:

Walk on “.1.3.6.1.2.1”…ERROR: SNMP error: Timeout: No Response from 10.5.0.130

Walk on “.1.3.6.1.4.1”…ERROR: SNMP error: Timeout: No Response from 10.5.0.130

I have several other host I’m monitoring via SNMP that work fine. Check_mk version is 1.2.6p1.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Matija

I’m guessing cmk isn’t providing the correct community string to the
device.

In “WATO->Access to Agents->SNMP credentials of monitored
hosts”
you can create a rule setting the community string for the hosts
the rule applies to.
