[Check_mk (english)] Reloading Configuration

Hello everyone,

I was wondering if Check_MK is able to reload configuration changes on the fly without having to restart the nagios core? I don’t want my metrics to have a lapse in reporting or restart the check intervals.

Thanks!

if you reload changes via Wato or with check_mk -O nagios will be
reloaded, not restarted.

A nagios reload is nearly the same as a nagios restart.
Configuration update on the fly is planned for some nagios version in the future or in the near future on icinga 2. (beta status at the moment)

If you have a subscription from CMK then you can use the check_mk core (own monitoring core written in python)

with this core you can make configuration changes nearly on the fly.
