[Check_mk (english)] Strange Values for an SNMP checked Switch

Hello,
I have some strange Output for a SNMP Checked gigabit Switch:

CRIT - [12] (up) MAC: 00:08:54:e2:d2:13, 1GBit/s, in:
1340.35TB/s(1178981549.8%) CRIT >= 59.60MB/s, out: 348.33KB/s(0.3%)

It happens for "if" and for "if64". Does anyone have a Clue on why
this happens? This is quiet annoying because I either get warnings or
I can't check the Traffic for that switch :slight_smile:

Hi Jonas,

Hello,
I have some strange Output for a SNMP Checked gigabit Switch:

CRIT - [12] (up) MAC: 00:08:54:e2:d2:13, 1GBit/s, in:
1340.35TB/s(1178981549.8%) CRIT >= 59.60MB/s, out: 348.33KB/s(0.3%)

I have seen similar on one of my low-cost switches.
It (so far) seems to not happen on any decent hardware (Cisco, Lancom,
HP enterprise switches), but on a few of the $100-$200 range.
Are we talking enterprise or SOHO switch in your case?

Any work tracking this down is appreciated, you could start off with
a few check_mk --snmpwalk against that switch while transferring data.

If you can pinpoint it there, please forward the information to our
feedback address. Of course, we'll need some time to make sure any fix
does still work for those switches it is really needed for :slight_smile:

Greetings,
Florian
