Check_mk raw edition 2.0.0.p9 graphs not working

Hello,
we upgraded Check_MK from 1.6.0 to 2.0.0p9 and performance data is not working anymore.

I can see the graphs filled with values till the upgrade timestamp on old hosts, and cannot see the graphs at all on the new hosts, just “no historic metrics recorded but performance data is available”.

I triplechecked and performance data is ticked on the monitoring host … what am I missing ?

Any error messages inside the log files? For instance under ~/var/pnp4nagios/log/npcd.log or ~/var/log/rrdcached.log.
Also the nagios core log can be helpful.

Hello Andreas,
npcd.log returns a long stream of

[08-31-2021 09:03:20] NPCD: ERROR: Executed command exits with return code '1'
[08-31-2021 09:03:20] NPCD: ERROR: Command line was '/omd/sites/watchdog_1_01/lib/pnp4nagios/process_perfdata.pl -n -c /omd/sites/watchdog_1_01/etc/pnp4nagios/process_perfdata.cfg -b /omd/sites/watchdog_1_01/var/pnp4nagios/spool//perfdata.1630363648'

rrdcached.log shows some errors just right at the restart of omd after upgrade and at the start of the server

2021-08-30 16:07:42 [3] journal_replay: /opt/omd/sites/watchdog_1_01/var/rrdcached/rrd.journal.1630335895.240174 : Permission denied (must not be user/group writable)

nagios.log doesn’t seem to contain any errors.

maybe found it… running the command that shows errors in npcd.log shows

HiRes.c: loadable library and perl binaries are mismatched (got handshake key 0xce00080, needed 0xed00080)

while updating checkmk we updated also what was pending on the linux system, perl is now 5.32.1 as opposed to 5.28.1: is that the problem ?

/usr/local/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/perl/5.32.1

I think checkmk does not expect a Perl version that is different from the distribution.

gotcha, we’ll revert and wait for check_mk package to be compiled for debian 11. Sorry guys, didn’t really know those small updates rendered the graphs unavailable, everything else worked perfectly!
