CheckMK 2.0: temporarily suspend page refreshes

After my recent upgrade to CheckMK 2.0.0p7.CEE, I’m missing two things from the 1.6 days. The first one is:

In 1.6 it is possible to temporarily suspend updating (reloading) a view. The timer on the top right had actually two functions: clicking on the “play” icon (if I remember correctly) caused an immediate reload, clicking on the actual timer itself the timer to pause/suspend, and no reload would be done. This was without going through the display options & changing the view’s options permanently. The next time you visited the view, the timer would run normally again.

The second part of that functionality seems to be gone in CheckMK 2.0, as far as I can tell. The reload timer on the top right only has the “reload immediately” functionality when clicking on it.

Any plans on bringing the temporary pause back? It was very convenient, especially when dealing with graphs.

The only way I found is in the top menu → Display → Modify Display Options.

regards

Michael

Bummer, but thank you anyway.

@mbunkus If it’s only the graphs where you need the functionality: When you are inside a Service Graphs View and click either on a time frame or somewhere inside the graph, an additional timer shows up on the top right that starts to count down from 60 seconds and displays a big “pause”-sign. If you click on the countdown it will stop the page reload until you refresh or click on the “pause”-sign.

Oh, right! I hadn’t modified the timeframe yet, therefore I hand’t seen that. And yes, that’s exactly what I meant — I accidentally thought the small timer on the top-right replaced the functionality you mentioned.

Yeah, I mostly needed for graphs, and there everything’s fine. Thanks!

For me (still on 1.6 though), the pause using the top right pause button is turned off once i start moving or zooming in the graph.
Can you somehow pause until you unpause, even while happily zooming and moving through a graph?
