Dear Checkmk Appliance users,
we just released the version 1.6.0 of the firmware.
The firmware 1.5 to 1.6 is a major platform upgrade. In this step we move
Appliance specific Python components to Python 3.7.
Please note: 1.6 is published for public testing with this release. Even though
all our internal and production tests were successful, we would like to advise
extra testing when updating to this release.
We recommend to update your test environments first, then try out the most
important features. In case you experience any issues, please let us know so
that we can stabilize this release as soon as possible.
Ideally this is a change which will not be noticeable by users since the
upgrade is executed automatically with the firmware upgrade in a compatible
way. However, since we had to change a lot of code to make this upgrade, there
may be regressions.
Please note: If you use a Checkmk version not containing the werk #14300 (older
than 2.1.0p16 or 2.0.0p30), you will not be able to use the Appliance sidebar
snapin. Update your Checkmk versions to make it work again.
