Checkmk Cloud Update and Livestream

Hello Community! :waving_hand:

With the launch of Checkmk version 2.5, our SaaS platform – Checkmk Cloud – has received some significant improvements! Here is what we have introduced.

Of course, first and foremost, since Checkmk Cloud is our SaaS edition, it takes away the need of hosting and maintaining your Checkmk instance off your shoulders.

But now Checkmk Cloud also has a set of very special features:

  • Relay is a lightweight, secure instance that shares the data collected from your remote infrastructure with zero inbound traffic. Relay plays a critical role in Cloud as it not only allows you to securely monitor remote devices without sacrificing performance, but also because with it you can monitor any infrastructure that you could not monitor on Cloud before with agents, like SNMP devices and much more. This brings the monitoring ability of Cloud at parity to our self-hosted editions without compromising the simplicity of maintenance.
  • Native OpenTelemetry integration extends Checkmk Cloud beyond infrastructure and into application monitoring — and it does so in a way that only a SaaS platform can. There is no OTel collector or backend to deploy, scale, or maintain on your side: you simply point your applications at Checkmk Cloud and the metrics flow straight into the same UI as the rest of your monitoring data. This is where the SaaS promise truly pays off: infrastructure, devices, and apps all live in one place, fully managed for you, with none of the operational overhead that normally comes with running an observability stack.
  • Explain with AI is a feature exclusive to Checkmk Cloud – it will help you understand complex signals from your monitored services in natural language, allowing you to save time and start fixing fast.

There is more! We will present the improved Checkmk Cloud in more detail during a livestream with Christian Reiser and Max Linke on 13th of May at 3PM Berlin time: https://youtube.com/live/C3ttpTTr2Eo?feature=share

The livestream will be recorded.
