We are using Checkmk Raw Edition 2.1.0p5 on a Ubuntu Physical server, the problem is the Filesystem for one of the Linux VM is full, and its showing on checkmk GUI like below, but it didn’t give us the email notification?
Also , if I click on the view and edit parameters of this service , its set on default value like below, Do we need to set up the rule for this? Please suggest
What says your notification log or the event history of this service?
If no message was generated then you will see this inside the event history.
The notification log gives you hints if the core notification is generated but not sent.
Hi ,
After a week-long analysis over the notification, I realized that something is going wrong because of my rules.
On the checkmk GUI, could see the notification as below screenshot, we received this notification only on 18th Oct and after that it didn’t come and still lying-in warning state. Also the SMTP server is working fine but to avoid lot of unnecessary emails, I have given below 2 service monitoring rules:
Delay service notification by 5 mins.
Maximum number of check attempts for a service is 3
This is the reason I am suspecting for not receiving the notification. How can I supress these rules when it comes for Filesystem and C:/ , D:/ space monitoring? Disk usage monitoring and notification is extremely important for us as its the core service
