I am trying to monitor our isilon storage in checkmk but the Filesystem Cluster output it giving incorrect %
EG - sensor shows 80% used
going onto the isilon node directly via ssh it shows 90%
This is using SNMP
I hear there might be an Agent_isilon how do I get and use that?
We are using Enterprise 2.4.0 CEE
I do not know which values are reported by SNMP or via SSH, but you have to keep in mind that data will consume different amounts of physical capacity depending on their respective protection level. Usually you’ll get reported a “remaining” and an “estimated usable” capacity, the latter one guessed according to the so far achieved data reduction and overhead. I expect your two values to be those two. Compare them to the ones reported in InsightIQ.
agent_isilon is gone away long time ago, but you can use my powerscale agent. Will report fewer things in Isilon (and capacity not at all).
