We are currently planning to change the IP address of our Checkmk server. What do I need to bear in mind to ensure that the agents are not “broken”?
You need to check if there are some agents with “only_from” configuration.
If all agents are using TLS without “only_from” then it should be no problem to change the IP.
Another topic are firewall rules and ACLs on SNMP devices. That’s way more work to do than the agent configuration.
