Acording to this data you have a very very slow fan :slight_smile: (entPhySensorValue * entPhySensorScale = very very slow fan, 6656 ** (-24) = 1.749365193275369e-92)

The issue is the entPhySensorScale, Cisco is reporting a wrong value (needs to be 9 not 1).

From the MIB description:

The exponent to apply to values returned by the associated 
entPhySensorValue object. This object SHOULD be set by the agent during entry
creation, and the value SHOULD NOT change during operation

Apparently we are not able to create a case at Cisco anymore for this device.
I will check whether we have the option to upgrade the OS now.

The upgrade doesn’t seem to have any effect on the scaling value.
Is there anyway we adjust in CheckMK ourselves (by that I mean, change the check CheckMK uses for this)?

You can (as long as you have no sensors with such low values).

you need to copy ~/lib/check_mk/base/plugins/agent_based/utils/entity_sensors.py to your local site directory ~/local/lib/check_mk/base/plugins/agent_based/utils/entity_sensors.py. Here you have 2 options:

in ENTITY_SENSOR_SCALING change the value for 1 from 10 ** (-24) to 1

or you can in def parse_entity_sensors change the value for scaling_nr from 1 to 9. like

if scaling_nr == "1":
    scaling_nr = "9"
