Cmk-agent-updater doesn't install new version

**CMK version: Checkmk Cloud Edition 2.2.0p21
**OS version: RedHat RHEL 9

** AGENT-OS: RHEL8.9

Hello,

one of our agent won’t auto-update. The cmk-agent-updater fetches the new agent-vers, but don’t installs it.

The command
cmk-update-agent show-config

shows this:
Configuration from state file (/etc/cmk-update-agent.state):
last_error: None
host_secret:
host_name: test-host
user: cmkadmin
last_check: 1709889438.2355397
pending_hash: a423b7cc0a44b49d

If we make a manual install, we get this error:
unpacking of archive failed on file /etc/check_mk/cmk-update-agent.cfg;65ead703: cpio: Digest mismatch

Is there a way to solve this problem?

Update: if we disable FIPS, it works.
But how do we get it working with FIPS?

Hi,

the Agent Updater currently doesn’t work on FIPS compliant systems. We are working on getting Checkmk to fully work in FIPS compliant environments. It’s on the Roadmap for the next release.
