Recently I have installed new checkmk Raw 2.1.0p6 on Oracle Linux 8.6.
Everything was fine, monitoring 42 hosts/1200 services.
Then after configuring LDAP integration I found the web interface became very slow.
Any web page refresh time is 6-8 secs now.
What can be the cause, how to speedup cmk web?

how many users did you sync using ldap?
is the ldap sync running fine or - I have seen this a few times in 2.0 but never reproducable - do you maybe have a ldap background job running that starts new every second?
What’s your total system cpu load?

Hi Gerd,
Now there are 3 ldap users in sync. But when I started configuring it was mistakenly imported about 3K users because of error in filters. Then it was corrected, excess users were deleted. It seems to me just after this incident cmk became slow.
Where I can see ldap background job running?
In the CMK config the LDAP sync interval is set to 8hrs.
CPU utilization ~20%, load 1.5-2 (as shown in ‘top’ or cmk service itself).
the residual 3k user files might still be an issue
please go to ~/var/check_mk/web/
make a backup of the 3 user folders you want to keep, remove all other folders 
OMG! There appeared not 3K but 28K folders in web.
And yes, removing them fixed the problem.
