We management all our config using Googlesheets, parsed via a script and into CheckMK via the API. We are looking to change that and wondering how other people are doing, and if anyone has come across a commercial solution for full configuration management.
Perhaps you might want to take a look at Bastian Kuhn’s (@bkuhn) cmdbsyncer (CMDBsyncer Documentation) — it’s very powerful, though it does come with a bit of a learning curve. As an alternative, you could explore the Checkmk Ansible Collection (GitHub - Checkmk/ansible-collection-checkmk.general: The official Checkmk Ansible collection - brought to you by the Checkmk company.).
In addition, I’d recommend considering a migration from Google Sheets to a dedicated DCIM or CMDB solution (for example, iTop or NetBox). That way you’ll end up with a much more robust and maintainable setup.
