I am slowly getting crazy because this should be really simple task, but I simply cannot manage.
We have our NAS and during backup times is its CPU Utilization at 100%. This happens always at night time and I do not need to receive notifications about it.
I created a rule “CPU utilization for simple devices” specifically for our NAS:
But after five minutes of high cpu utilization I receive the notification anyway.
The five minute delay is set through label assigned to this service and through other rule which is telling that all notifications wih this labels will be 5 minutes delayed.
Can it be that the delay rule is overriding the rule which should disable notifications?
I also tried time specific parameters but that also does not work at all.
Hi,
it may depend on the check used for this device. Not all CPU checks honor each available rule. If you look into Wato for the services of the device which check is shown in the last column of the CPU check you have trouble with?
If you are using the enterprise version I suggest using recurring downtimes to solve the notification problem (using the option “Repeat this downtime on a regular base every”)
