Custom HW/SW inventory

Wouldn’t be possible.to add custom data to HW/SW inventory?

E.g. : version from a specific application.

If yes, is this somewhere documented how or how to do this?

We have not documented the implementation of inventory plugins yet. This might be done for the 2.3 release cycle. Until then, I can only suggest taking a look in existing inventory plugins contained in our GitHub repo. I will follow this or similar threads to take notes for the article to be written.
