Dashboard missing filter in 'Service statistics' element in v2.1

CMK version: CEE 2.1.0p11
OS version: CentOS 7.9

Problem:

Hello all,

we have just updated our instance from 2.0 to 2.1.

On our main dashboard we used multiple ‘Service statistics’ elements so far. For example: Filter on the Service name ‘Updates’ to see the outstanding OS updates directly on the dashboard.

Until version 2.0, this element had the ability to filter on services (also via regex). In 2.1 this service filter is missing, as a result all elements we have used so far look identical.

Hi.

You can try to use the context filter of the whole dashboard (dashboard properties).

Hi Christian,

good approach, however we are using several of these service statistics on the dashboard.

The update statistic was just one example.

Due to the missing filter all displays are now the same and wrong.

Hallo Björn.

You are right. In dashlet code the code for context exists. I think it is a bug.

Hi Björn and Christian,

thanks for sharing this issue. We fixed the underlying problem and individual service filters are now applicable to the “Service statistics” dashboard element again. This change will be included in the next patch release 2.1.0p14 and is documented as Werk #14494 on our website.

Best,
Kenneth
