I am currently in the process of configuring my first checkmk installation and am following the official documentation.
I would like to define default services that are automatically selected/monitored for each new host (and all others disabled). Unfortunately I haven’t been able to find anything about this in the documentation so far. Is this possible with checkmk (raw)?

and welcome to this forum.
You can create disabled services rules with all services that you don´t want to have in your monitoring.
You can create these rules with different conditions (e.g. Folder, Hostnames, Tags, Labels) for different host if the requirements differ between those.

So it doesn’t matter which services are enabled during the host import, I could just create a rule for the “os:windows” tag and it will overwrite alle settings for hosts with the “os:windows” label?
