Dell/EMC Powervault ME4 Storage Checks

**CMK version:2.3.0p4
**OS version:Oracle Linux 9

Error message:

Hallo zusammen,

ich versuch bei einem Kunden von uns einen PowerVault ME4024 abzufragen.
Bekomme aber bei der Service Discovery immer folgenden Fehler:

TypeError: Object of type Response is not JSON serializable

Kann mir jemand helfen?

Vielen Dank!

Was wird den verwendet für die Abfrage?
Also welcher Special Agent und in welcher Version.

OMD[s00044]:~$ cmk --debug -vvn **********

This is not the agent output.
But in your error message i see that it is not the last version of the agent.

Line 78 looks like this

w.append_json(response.json())

Please check the installed mkp and update to 3.3.1

Danke Andres, funktioniert mit der aktuellste Version.
Evtl. Kannst du die noch auf der Exchange Plattform hochladen, da habe ich diese nicht gefunden.

Danke!

Is nun im Review auf der Exchange. Gibt nur für aktuelle Plugins das Problem, dass die Exchange keine Plugins akzeptiert welche in 2.3 API geschrieben sind.
Der ist zum Glück noch 2.2 API damit noch ok^^

Hello,
not sure I have the same problem but maybe you can help.
i get this message: [special_dellpowervault] Agent exited with code 1: Traceback (most recent call last):
image

debug looks fine,

do you know what can be the problem?

Important is here the special agent call directly not the “cmk --debug …”.
Please do a “cmk -D hostname” and fetch the special agent call.
This call you can use with “–debug” to get a little bit more output.
What mkp version do you use and also what CMK version?
CMK 2.2 → mkp 3.1.0
CMK 2.3 → mkp 3.3.1

Hi Andreas, Thank you for your reply- this is the details when I’m running cmk -D:

and I can see the services:

I’m currently using cmk 2.1.0p36 version with the Dell plugin 2.5- supporting for this version- I also thought that the problem is with the package version but this is the correct one for my cmk version.

If i see it correctly than this host has no special agent configured.
First you should check the special agent configuration for this host and then you need to execute the special agent manually with the correct settings from this host.

Thanks, Andreas, i think i have a special agent, see screenshots.
the problem is that cmk service is flapping, I already configured normal check, microcode and snmp time settings but still getting a lot of alerts, i will configure a Delay in the notification. any suggestions?
the problem is that the service is working but flapping all the time.

This program call you can execute manually to get a little bit more error message.
If it was working before, it cannot be a problem with the agent directly.

Thank you Andreas, i added a delay rule for this service, this is the only workaround Thanks again for your reply.

Exit code 1 means that there is some type of problem.
If this is not cleared you will have also other problems in your system.
