Disable Common Windows Services

Alright, so probably this some kind of consultant gimmick that I only get when paying a consultant, but I am gonna ask anyway:
Does anyone have a list of Windows Services (I am talking services in the OS, not in checkmk speek) that are generally uninteresting for monitoring? Like this .net service thingy that now one would want to check?

Thanks in advance for any input! If I didn’t make myself clear, let me know.

This is really extensive and varies from version to version and configuration to configuration.

There will not be a general list in this form, because there are other points / services interesting for everyone.

Hi Bernd and thanks for your reply.
Well you are right of course, there is no “one size fits all” obviously, but I am trying to find a general approach which then can be adapted by anyone for their specific needs. There are always services that most people won’t care about and that is what I am going for.

Hi Robin,

you know, I maintain such a list for myself. Just email me and I will send it to you. It’s not production grade, so I don’t wanna publish it here.
