Hi,
is it possible to hide the menu bar (not side bar) per role or user settings?
I created a user that needs access to one specific custom view via a custom dashboard.
Problem is the user should not have permission to edit anything in the system or even change the view or dashboard.
I got it all sorted out, only problem is, i didn’t find a way to disable the menu bar or at least the role/policy to create new views vie “Add” in the menu bar.
Is there anyone with a suggestion?
HI @cw_cukoo
and welcome to the forum!
So you want the GUI for the user to look like this?
In general, you can edit roles and permissions through the “Roles & Permissions” in the Setup menu:
If you go to the permission matrix, you see what the different Roles can and can’t do:
The permission you are looking for (at least as far as I understand it) is Setup → Use WATO
Hope that helps!
My understanding of @cw_cukoo 's request is to have the page navigation completely hidden. I didn’t find this in the Roles & Permissions. At least you can create a URL that hides the navigation. This setting can be found on every screen under “Display” => “Show page navigation”. It changes the URL.
As far as I know, this is not bulletproof, but it hides all options to play around. Combined with @elias.voelker 's suggestion, you might get what you want
If you mean the navigation bar on top, then you can disable this in the Dashboard properties by unchecking “Display Dashboard Title”.
Unfortunately this is not role specific, but if you create a separate Dashboard for this user and additionally follow the instructions from Tom and Elias, then you should be good to go.
Cheers Jeronimo
Thank you, this is exactly what i wanted
