Disable warning for service if the error matches a pattern

CMK version: 2.1.0p25.cre
OS version: Ubuntu 20.04.6 LTS

Problem:
Hi all,

I get some errors from services which I want to ignore. But, I would like to ignore errors if they match a specific pattern, not the service at all.

For example, I want to disable any notification or if possible ignore the error if the detail text matches “SQLState: 08004/NativeError: 916”. I already had a lok at the service notification rules but I think they would completely disable the service which I try to avoid.

Hi,

maybe the rule “Service state transition” can do what you want:

With this rule you can, map a state determined by a check to another state or want to rewrite the status detail of a check result

Hi Petra,

it looks like this would perfectly fit my needs. But unfortunately, I think it is a Enterprise Feature?
Host/Service states and outputs can now be translated (checkmk.com)

Also, is

“Service state transition”

a typo or is there a rule with that name in the CEE maybe? I wasn’t able to find it under that name.

Hi Dani,

you are right, this rule is an Enterprise only feature.

Best regards,
Petra
