I would like to export pages as PDF, there is a link ‘Export as PDF’ but it doesnt work. I tried to install manually the d2wpdf plugin but it says “mbstring extension must be loaded in order to run mPDF”
I cant find a way forward as I dont want to explore too deep hacking the checkmk appliance. Any ideas or tips?
The PHP extension mbstring must be installed in your host system. Then restart all Apache (host and site) then try again.
If some other module is missing then it will let you know it. In the default CMK installation the mbstring is not included as a dependence.
Yes I figured out as much but not how to actually install it. Cant find it through apt search. Is there another optionmaybe? I think this should work out of the box.

It the checkmk virtual appliance.
And the Appliance does not contain the plugin even though the button is there?
