Doubt about deleting content on ~/var/check_mk/web folder

Hi community.

Reading about slow changes on https://checkmk.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/KB/pages/9470895/Debugging+of+long+running+activate+changes I found that I have folder for users witch doesnt exits any more on check_mk app

There’s like 580 files. And there’re more folders than users on the app.

My doubt is. Is it a good idea deleting users folders witch doesn’t exists any more on the app from the terminal? O could I broke some integrity if I do that? If I have a distributed installation, deleting the folders in the admin will synchronize it content with de other collectors? Or do I have to delete then in any collector (o local site)??

Thanks in advance for any help.

you can always make a backup before deleting them, but as per my experience:

a) deleting folders of users that don’t exist anymore doesn’t do any harm, it just saves time when activating / synching

b) folders will be deleted on the remote sites when synching afaik
