I am trying to download the Enterprise Edition. I have purchased it and have my login information to the Customer Portal however I receive the following error along with 401 Unauthorized whenever I try to download using wget on Debian 12. What username/password combination do I need to be using to download the Enterprise edition so that I can install?
normally this is a case for the Checkmk support and not really the forum, but here are some suggestions.
In case you bought Checkmk via an official Checkmk Partner, you should contact your partner to handle this request.
If you bought it directly from Checkmk, you should be able to use the credentials that you got via E-Mail.
Another way would be to create additional users in the Customer Portal and assign them the permission to download the software. If this doesn’t help, I’m sure @Sara will help you and get you in contact with the right people at Checkmk.
Thanks for those suggestions. I purchased directly from the CheckMK site so I will try those and if I am still having issues I will reach out to support. Thank you.
It seems that the installer didn’t like my 24 character random digit password. I changed it to a 8 digit password with no special characters and it was able to install. I’m not sure what the exact issue is but in this day and age we should be able to use very long passwords with every type of character combination.
I am glad the issue has been resolved. I will pass the information to our team, so that the way we deal with these cases could be improved. Thank you for letting us know!
