Empty dashboard after update to v2.1 with older browser (no title, no widgets, blank dashboard, no dashboard)

**CMK version: Checkmk Enterprise Edition 2.1.0p16 **
OS version: Debian 10

Error message:
After update to Checkmk v2.1 our builtin-browsers on android TV cannot show any dashboard, it’s empty. :frowning: I checked this with an “old version” of firefox portable as well. It’s the same problem with Firefox v63, only an empty dashboard. Can I change a setting to show the dashboard correctly as with checkmk version 2.0? Bc it’s the latest version of Odin-Browser in Android-TV.

Did you end up finding a solution ?

I just can explain the situation: Currently, browser support is about half a year back from the time of release. With the Checkmk 2.1.0 release in May2022, browsers that were released before Q4 of 2021 might be out of luck.

The perceived situation with 2.0.0 was better since this supported browsers with the Trident Rendering engine (Internet Explorer and old Edge), 2.1.0 only supports Blink, Webkit and Gecko.

If your Android TV does not get updates to the rendering engine, and you cannot find a way of sideloading a browser with a modern engine, you might want to connect a more modern SBC or Android TV stick or stream via Chromecast from a PC or tablet in your network.

Thanks @mschlenker. Here am trying to get a checkmk version 2.1.0p11.cre / 2.1.0p16.cre dashboard working on Google Chrome version 18.0.1025.162 ( I know it’s way too old but curious if it works / supported and the version infact causing this issue? ) . Wouldn’t it be good to update in docs.checkmk.com what browsers are supported for each versions ? I couldn’t find it in the docs.
