I am using Check_MK raw edition, I am trying to set up some self healing for some of our monitored services, however as we only have the RAW edition its not simple.
Am I correct in stating there is no way to get an event created from a monitored service changing states? I want to get to the point where we can fire off an action when a process stops running, CPU is high etc. We are monitoring Linux systems so from what I can gather unless we are sending syslog messages out or SNMP then I can’t capture them using the events filter?
https://checkmk.com/cms_ec.html mentions being able to generate events from log files, but I can’t find any further details on it?
