Explicit Conditions via host label

Checkmk Raw Edition 2.3.0
Debian 12 (Bookworm)

Error Message:NONE

Output of “cmk --debug -vvn hostname”: (If it is a problem with checks or plugins)

Hi Folks,

the problem I have after upgrading to Raw Edition 2.3.0:

I want to define a check rule (DNS Service) with explicit conditions via host labels given to the hosts (cmk/service:dns)

If I save the newly configured the rule it says “No conditions”

In the rules I have defined before upgrading to 2.3.0 the conditions are there.

Anybody else got the issue? Or a resolution, except defining “explicit hosts”?

Thanks in advance.

Could you please share a screenshot of it when you configure it?

Hi Martin,
thanks for replying. Here are the screenshots:

This is how I expect the result to actually look:

(although this is a deprecated check, this check was configured before upgrades)

I see the same behaviour.
I’m unable to create rules with conditions

Hi there - i got the same behaviour on the Free Edition in my Lab and in the CME Edition in Production.

But if i add the Label twice

it works

and goes back to one Label in the Rule

does not solve the Problem, but it is a workaround to keep Hostlabels working in prod

LG Holger

I can reproduce as well. Thanks, will report a ticket and we will tackle this asap

Hey all,
doubling the host label works for me as workaround also. Thanks a lot for the hint, and @martin.hirschvogel : Thank you for stapeling the issue for fixing.

@Holger that is some outside-of-the-box thinking to find this workaround! :+1:

Fixed in [Release] Checkmk stable release 2.3.0p2
