Export parts of multiple hosts inventory via host_inv_api.py

I have the same problem/question that was asked for in Export multiple hosts inventory

I want to get a subset of information(paths) for multiple hosts. But the Api seems to support only paths OR multiple hosts.

The documentation is not complete here but it says that both must be possible hosts and paths: Implemented API for exporting the full host inventory

Does anyone know how to request that?
