CMK version:
2.0p16
OS version:
CentOS 7.9
Error message:
Failed to update NagVis maps: 403
I have to sites, one of them nagvis fails with the error “Failed to update NagVis maps: 403”.
I can’t imagine why one site is ok while the other one is failing.
Any suggestions where to look are wellcome.

Hi,
There are no errors in the log regarding the issue.
Are there any other logs where I could find related information?

Nothing as well, only failed logins.
It’s so annoying, I don’t have idea what the issue could be.

Hi,
I see that there is a folder called “etc” inside “/opt/omd/sites/sitename/etc/nagvis”, with a folder structure as the one inside “/opt/omd/sites/prod/etc/nagvis”.
Could it be that at same time any guy had installed nagvis manually in the wrong folder?
How could I undo this?

Norm

Hi @webhelp ,
please do yourself a favor and update your Checkmk server to a newer version.
Checkmk 2.0.0p16 is very old and already end of life.
There are so many pending updates, patches, fixes and security relevant things that you should really update.
Here you can see all the NagVis Werks:
Maybe this will solve your issue.

Norm

Sorry, its 2.1.0p16
I’d prefer to solve the issue before upgrading.

Hi @webhelp ,
the Error Code 403 means forbidden for the requested resource. In Version 2.1.0p34 there is a patch that could be your fix. Take a look at: Fix execution of local gadgets
Please try this otherwise I can’t really help you.
Regards
Norm
