We have set up some host-tags which define what kind of host we are trying to monitor (VM, physical machine, container, etc.) which now defaults to VM since this is the most common host we are trying to monitor. is there any way to leave this field blank and force users to fill it out before they can create the host?
Also is there any way to get folder-like structure for hosts tags? For example:
When a User select “yes” on the host-tag “Active Directory Server?” that a second tag pops up with the name “AD-Replication?” and options “yes” and “no”?
Creating a new Topic called “Active Directory Server” seems a little overkill to me because not every host is running active directory and create a completly new tag under "Active Directory Server"would clutter up the host-creation page rather quickly because there are multiple example like this.
This isnt a dealbreaker or anything but it would be nice to keep the WATO nice and tidy.
Why not create an auxiliary host tag “adserver” and just one tag group “AD with or without Replication” with three choices:
No AD (default)
AD with replication
AD without replication
And then assign the aux tag to the last two choices. This way all AD servers get the aux tag and you still can distinguish between replication and no replication.
