Getting SNMP timed out error

Check_mk is trying to reach to ASA and getting Critical error. I have checked on firewall everything looks good.

  1. ASA is reachable
  2. No Interface drops found

Below is the Sample error that i am getting.

CRIT - [snmp] SNMP Error on LH-***: SNMP query timed out after 4 tries within 12.01 secondsCRIT, no information form host, excution time 12.0 sec

Can someone please help me understand why this is happening.

hi,

  1. did your asa allow snmp queries from your cmk-instance?

  2. if yes, which snmp version did you use? snmpv3-auth? credentials?

  3. you can test the connection settings in wato for your asa too… have you try it out?
