Is there any specific reason why the grafana plugin for checkmk raw edition has such limited functionality - for example there is no service regexp filter like in the commercial editions.

it’s true that one is able is able to search via regex for services in Checkmk Raw. For the Grafana plug-in this does not help, as technically, we’re delivering timeseries graph data and not metric data from Checkmk. Checkmk Raw does not have the combined graph and custom graph functionality. So, there is a specific and technical reason/limitation.
