we are using checkmk version 1.6.0p20 (CEE) with the Host Check Command “Smart PING”.
Normal check intervall for host checks is set to the default of 6 seconds.
This works fine if the host is up, but when the host is down the host is checked only 12-20 seconds:
At the end the host is flapping between stale and not stale.
We can reproduce this in our test environment with only two hosts.
Has anyone an idea why the Host check intervall is not working correctly when the host is down?
I can see the same behavior in the newest beta version of checkmk version 2.0 (2.0.0b5.cee).
When the host is up, the host check interval is OK.
When the host is down, the host check interval will be between 12 and 20 seconds and not 6 seconds. The host is flapping between Stale and not Stale.
