How can I implement custom OID?

Hello,
I would like to add a SNMP OID for my XEROX printer and I was wondering if there was a way to add it.

Any suggestions?

If it is a single OID you want to query the easiest thing to do is to use check_snmp via the “Integrate Nagios plugins” ruleset.

If it is more then you would need to implement a check plugin: Writing your own check plug-ins

I see, and after I download the plugin where can I add the OID?

You do not need to download check_snmp, it is already in $OMD_ROOT/lib/nagios/plugins.

Just create a rule in the ruleset “Integrate Nagios plugins” with the command line for check_snmp.
