How can I modify the name of registered servers in bulk?

Hello All,

I have the need to modify the name of several servers in Check_MK. They are currently registered by fqdn and only need to be registered with the short name (No fqdn).

I know there is a rename option, but it only allows you to modify one, and I need to modify several or in blocks to advance this project.
There is a way to do it in bulk, I understand that using the rename option is ideal since it modifies the name in the rules that are configured.

be careful though, if you have registrations for the agent bakery and/or TLS, you need to change that (by running the client side registration commands) as well, as otherwise the client tries to continue pulling a baked agent for “host-xy.fqdn.com” and your checkmk server only builds agents for “host-xy”
