How can I set up SAML with AzureAD?

Hi everyone,

We’re long time users of a legacy version of Check_MK Raw who have recently moved to Check_MK 2.1.0

I’m in the process of getting it setup how we want it and one of the key things for us is that we would like to configure SAML authentication with AzureAD rather than ADFS, I’ve read through the guidance but it starts to get very ADFS specific and I can’t get much further.

Could anyone offer some further guidance/support with this?

You can also wait for Checkmk 2.2, there is a easy-to-use SAML integration in the UI (Checkmk Enterprise only)

Thanks for that! I had a bit of a hard time following the guide.

Is there a release date available for 2.2? I may just deal with LDAP until then if it’s reasonably close.

The 2.2 beta will come soon. Depends how long it takes for that to get stable.
We will communicate our indicative release plan soon.

Thanks Martin, I think we’ll just live with LDAP and then go live with SAML when we do the upgrade to 2.2 many thanks!

if you have already LDAP Sync - vote for SAML2 for existing users (no new creation) - Checkmk

I have another Issue, we have a proxy behind and SAML always connect directly to Microsoft. Is there a way to configure on the Enterprise Appliance a system proxy?
