How can we switch roles from Master to slave in Distributed Monitoring?

Hello,

Hope you guys are doing well!!!

Need help from the experts :slight_smile:

I am using the checkmk-raw edition and have three sites one master and two slaves in different DCs. Now I need to switch the roles of one Master to another slave in another DC who is already part of the Distributed monitoring Cluster. How can we do it and what would be the best and safe approach to achieve this?

Hi @Tazz143 and welcome to the community! :slight_smile:

You can not “promote” a remote site to be the central site.
However, you could move your central site to a new server with backup/restore.
