How to ignore events "NTP servers: unreachable" during automatic "VMware VMotion"?

CMK version:2.1.0p40
OS version:Red Hat Enterprise Linux release 8.9

Error message:NTP servers: unreachable, Reference ID: 7F7F0101 ()(!), Offset: 0.2982 ms, Stratum: 10

Output of “cmk --debug -vvn hostname”: (If it is a problem with checks or plugins)

Hello,

The check_mk monitoring is generating CRIT events “NTP servers: unreachable” while a VM is in VMotion in VMware. Is there a possibility to repress this events in check_mk?

You could search the Setup menu for “attempts” and configure say three attempts. That still gives you a CRIT state (which seems to be valid and caused by the vMotion), but no notification.

However, IIRC vMotion should be a pretty transparent process, so if that throws your NTP client off, you might want to investigate, if this really is normal and expected.
