How to monitor AWS URL with Check_mk?

Hello All,

I need to monitor two URLs hosted on Amazon with Check_mk, I wanted to add the page name ftptransfer.xxxx.com but the IP is an amazon endpoint and it does not respond to ping. Once I can configure it, I must monitor port 21.

Could you guide me on how I can achieve this monitoring?

With the ruleset “Host check command” you can define a different host check and must not rely on ICMP for the host to be up.

Im trying to use the check ftp service to monitor a ftp service hosted on AWS, im defined the port 21 on the rule, and attached to a host that i creted with the name of the same endpoint, but i dont know if this is the correct way, because when i check the host i received this error:

Well, the hostname cannot be resolved using DNS.
