How to prevent PING (default?) check

Raw 2.0.0p20
Ubuntu

Attempting to remove the ping check for 3 hosts but seem not to be able to. How would i do that please?
The hosts are not pingable so i check alive via TCP connection.

This ruleset should provide what you need:
Setup → Hosts → Host monitoring rules → Host Check Command

Hi, thanks for your quick reply. I already mornitor the 3 hosts via TCP connection but the devices are noted as down because ping fails on them.

I just checked Hosts > Host monitoring rules > Host check command and only the 3 devices that have a unique setting for TCP connection are shown. Nothing to disable the onboard ping check.
Am I missing something? I’ve been on this for weeks now on and off.

The service check “PING” is configured automatically if the host would have no service check otherwise. It cannot be deconfigured as a host has to have at least one service check.

Great answer, thanks. I’ll add other service checks to my devices.
