HPE Proliant DL380 G9: HPE Management Agents and Check MK Agent

can somebody tell me what I need to customize to allow the check Mk Agent 1.5.0 p15 to connect to Windows 2019 on a HP node via HP Management Agents V10.90.00.0, does the agent need to be customized?

The goal is to be able to pull power supplies like storage monitoring from all HPE nodes.

ILO4 is connectable via windows, is there a possibility to download data from there?

You can activate an SNMP agent in iLO4, afaik.
Or you can use IPMI (available as special agent).

i tought i could use this solution, more easy for lot further installations…

has anybody done this?

That is an SNMP based check. You need to activate the SNMP agent on the iLO4. Or you configure the HP Management Agent to talk to the Windows SNMP agent (which has to be installed and configured).

Starting with iLO4 the recommended way is - setup “Agentless Management” inside iLO.
Set a read community inside iLO and then sent your queries to the iLO IP.

HP Management Agents for SNMP are obsolete since then.

There’s one question after another. Thank you all for the quick and helpful help.

Agent running on Windows, has its own NIC port in the MGMT network.
SNMP activated over ILO port, has own IP on ILO port in ILO network.

Now the problem, I can either activate the agent or SNMP depending on the IP. At the same time I don’t get it yet.

Where is the trick hidden there?

In the host diagnostics I can not store two IP addresses, I would have to give the node one IP for the agent and one for the SNMP query.

But how? Now I’ve run through all the variables. So far, no success.

check mk 1.5.0p15 and SNMP manual check: HP MSA Networkvoltage

The following is my opinion but other see this another way

In my systems there is a strict separation between iLO/iDRAC and so on interfaces and the normal systems with agent.
Management interfaces are used as separate objects inside monitoring.

I create my iLO host with it’s hostname and iLO ip address. Configure this with the right SNMP credentials and then do the automatic service discovery. Normally i use no manual check definitions for the management interfaces.

is there a way to merge the two nodes?

ILO / SNMP
Windows / Agent

got it now, was a special way to use gui mask, it runs fine.

it is possible to monitor, ILO SNMP and Win Agent in same host ID.
