Hi everyone,
over the past few years, we have been working on an extension package for Huawei OceanStor storage systems.
We are proud to announce that it is now finally publicly available for Checkmk 2.5.0 onwards!
Our extension package supports OceanStor Dorado systems and, to a certain extent, OceanStor Pacific systems via their respective REST APIs.
We have tested a wide range of models across different customer environments, so most systems should be supported.
In addition to a variety of check plugins, the package includes a hardware/software inventory plugin that provides a clear overview of storage capacity.
Note: Since the REST API of OceanStor Pacific is less comprehensive, only a subset of checks is available for Pacific systems.

How to use:

Create a read-only REST API user on your OceanStor storage system

Install the extension package in your Checkmk environment

Search for “Huawei” in the Setup menu and look for the rulesets within “Other integrations”:

Configure the credentials and select the desired checks:
