In our polato firewall snmp trap version upgraded from v2 To V3 . we are using privacy protocol: AES 256 but in our checkmk dashboard, show AES 128 in the option., kindly suggest how to enable firewall service alert

**CMK version:**2.1.0p10.cre;2.1.0p10;cre;0
**OS version:**CentOS Linux release 7.9.2009 (Core)

**Error message: **Invalid SNMP auth protocol

Output of “cmk --debug -vvn hostname”: (If it is a problem with checks or plugins)

In the current Checkmk stable version 2.2.0p17, you can use AES-256 as Privacy Protocol in the Event console settings.

I cannot remember exactly when this was introduced, but I believe that Checkmk 2.1 did support only AES-128. So you might need to update to the latest version.

Thanks for your responses.

".however AES 256 not available., kindly find attached screenshot for your reference.
kindly provide solution for this.

If I understood it correctly, your original question was about SNMP traps.

For configuring the trap receiver, go to SetupEvent Console configurationCredentials for processing SNMP traps. Here it is possible to configure AES-256 as privacy protocol. See the example:
