While implementing IPMI sensor monitoring, the state change is occuring on the basis of status text and not the description/summary. Attached is the screenshot for reference. Can anyone please help here ?

I am probably missing, what you are trying to say, as what you describe is expected behavior in Checkmk.
Thanks, good to be here. Basically, the threshold strings are set as “Fully Redundant” for OK and “Redundancy Lost” for CRIT. When the power supply is unplugged from the hardware, the state change from OK to CRIT does not occur but the description changes to “Redundancy Lost”. Attached is the screenshot of the thresholds set.

Thanks, I think that clarifiers things. Now the question is: Is the data received through IPMI correct and can the check plugin handle it properly. In order to do so, one would need to look into the agent output. Do you by chance have a support contract and can you file a ticket? That would make debugging easier and less public.
