Is it a good idea to query the target host also via SNMP in addtion to the agent itself?

I have some Linux + Windows servers where Agent is already installed but SNMP is also enabled. Is it a good idea to enable SNMPa agent as well ?

Will I run into duplicate checks problem or more problems ?

The checkmk agent reports everything the SNMP agent can report on these systems and much more.

The only situation where you want to query the SNMP agent is when the hardware has an agent that hooks into it. But nowadays this is usually a separate management board with its own IP address.
