Is Standard Edition for testing period available?

can we run Enterprise Standard Edition for testing period? is there any limitation for no of host/services in test download ?

From the FAQ from Checkmk Trial - The IT Monitoring Platform
The trial expires after 30 days, at which point your site can either be licensed as a paid subscription, or you can continue using it for free for as long as you want. In the free state, your site will be limited to 750 services and one site.

RAW has no limits regarding amount of services, but has limited features and only community support.

I’d add to @Yggy 's reply, that currently the testing version is the Cloud Edition, so some of the options available in the trial version, might not be available in the Enterprise Edition. But those features should be marked in the GUI as such.

Performance wise they are the same if you use a similar configuration. However, using the Cloud Editions push mode agent on hosts with slow agent plugins or slow internet connections can have serious advantages on memory usage on the Checkmk host.

But, honestly, you can emulate the push agent with a few scripts, but this means manual interaction and configuration. Push agent plus auto registration really excel in large environments.
