It would be nice to have some cleaning-function for the system

Hallo,
It would be nice to have some cleaning-function for the system.
For example:
deleting old rrd files

WATO / Global Settings / Site Management / Automatic disk space cleanup

Just to add to the question,
does the “Delete files older than” feature fire at a particular time?
or does it run on a poll (hourly/daily/etc)?
Additionally, could you tell me where in the config files this property is held?

Thanks!

This function should be running inside a cron and is located at ~site/etc/cron.d/.

There’s another current post about that topic incl. some specific information about the logic behind the automatic cleanup routines within the site management … see here as well: Need help reducing size of /opt/omd/sites/checkmk/var/pnp4nagios/perfdata

Thanks for the headsup. It looks like the feature is only useful for removed hosts, not for existing hosts with excessive data. I’ll stick to the other channel for further info
