KeyError: 'SERVICEPROBLEMID' on jira_issues

I didn’t make the Jira connection work. While simulating a notification no Jira issue is created. All I see is an error in ~/var/log/notify.log

custom_field_value = int(context[“SERVICEPROBLEMID”])
KeyError: ‘SERVICEPROBLEMID’

what kind of notification are you using for this test? Usually a service notification should always have a serviceproblemID in the context. (or maybe not… I didn’t check for downtime notifications or similar.)

Setup > Events > Notifications
and then issue a test notification for a service status change that triggers the jira notification rule.
I tick the box “Send out notification according to notification rules (uncheck to avoid spam)” as well.
The analysis shows that the jira rule was triggered. Same message is written to ~/var/log/notify.log every time I test it.

I simulate the status change of a service from OK to CRIT.
It is a service that comes from a local check (Local checks).

please see Limit "Send out notification" on test to HTML and ASCII Email (2.3.0p5)

oh… so I cannot test it. I have to wait until a real incident occurs and see what happens
:frowning:

oh… so I cannot test it.

you can still test the matching of your rules.

…that’s not what I’m looking for. I wanted to see if the Jira issue is created and closed as expected.
